Great space to retreat post backcountry adventures or ski hill. Many well thought out appointments within. We will certainly be coming back.

Located on the Trans-Canada Highway, this Golden motel is situated between the Rocky and Selkirk mountain ranges. Golden town centre is 5 minutes' drive away. So clean , excellent value , friendly staff .

Dette Rondo Motel ligger kun 20 minutters kørsel fra Kicking Horse Mountain Resort. Samtlige værelser har gratis WiFi og kabel-tv. Many things! The staff was both friendly and efficient. The bed and side chair were totally comfortable. The shower was hot and powerful. The air conditioner worked well, and was reasonably quiet. The TV was large and in good condition, and had a solid selection of channels. And it was placed in an area that certainly seemed safe, and also within a 3-5 minute walk of a downtown street with a couple of nearby restaurants and an ice cream shop. Granted, it’s not a modern high rise, and the price was more than I’d like, but it was substantially below most others nearby. That’s the way Golden is in the summer! But for those of us who’ll seek out a local budget spot when the big chains are priced so high in tourist areas, this is a superb choice! Frankly, I’ve stayed in those big ones on the nights before and after the Rondo, and the Rondo was better!
