The room was clean but the staff had challenges communicating in English. The only coffee available was instant. Each morning required a two-block walk to obtain good coffee. Be careful, if you happen to lose their cheap entry key they will charge you a thousand yen to replace it. The staff was friendly and helpful

Very good location being two minutes walk from Ueno Station and three minutes from Ameyoko Markets. The park and the zoo also a few minutes walk. Free good coffee at the reception is excellent.

The breakfast was at the Starbuck's coffee shop within the hotel and it was notable for the good coffee and the possibility of making do with the Starbuck's menu at breakfast-time. I ate chicken and waffles. The bedroom was typically tiny and the price was high, but the location was superb.
