Just 5 minutes’ walk from Turangi town centre, Creel Lodge is a 4.5-star Qualmark rated motel offering self-contained suites with a private patio and BBQ facilities. We didn't pay too much attention when booking this accommodation, as we just wanted a place to rest for a night after the Tongariro Alpine Crossing and before driving to Wellington. What a lovely surprise this place was! I absolutely loved staying here - spacious and clean rooms, a comfortable bed and a covered terrace in front of the apartment. Even though we didn't get to use the kitchen, it was supplied with pretty much all apliences one would need. Some details I appreciated and haven't seen before were the parking spots next to every apartment and the Netflix account the apartment had for guests. The gardens were pretty and well kept. However, I have to admit that what helped tremendously with my experience at the Creel Lodge hotel was the beautiful and incredibly friendly cat that decided to make us his friends and waited for us to wake up the next morning in front of our door.

The de luxe room was bigger than what we expected. It has a beautiful lake and pool view. The hot pool was nice. You also have your own parking. You have kitchen stuff needed if you would like to cook something. Beds are comfy and all have warming blanket (perfect because of the season). There is a heater in the room besides the heat pump in the lounge. The lounge is spacious. It is actually nice to stay and relax here the whole day.

Me alojé con mis hijos en dos habitaciones separadas. El lugar es extremadamente limpio y delicadamente decorado, tanto las habitaciones como los jardines y las áreas comunes. El personal es muy amable y tratan de adecuarse a tus requerimientos. La piscina temperada está a una temperatura muy agradable, incluso en clima frío y con lluvia uno se puede bañar sin problemas. Hay acceso hacia el lago Taupo para ir a una caminata o paseo. Hay disponibilidad de desayuno de pago o se puede cocinar algo simple en la habitación ya que posee cocinilla y mini fridge.
