Acacia Lake View Motel is just 300-metres from Taupo Town Centre and a 5 minute Tauhara Golf Course. Taupo Airport is a 10-minute drive away. Incredible motel right at the town center of Taupo. The studio room was squeaky clean, bed was comfortable and the small kitchen was plenty for what we needed. The owners could not have been nicer! Seriously some of the nicest people we’ve ever met. Very helpful, informative and most of all kind. Each room has a parking spot.

Lake Taupo and Tokaanu Thermal Pools are within 5 minutes’ drive from Creel Lodge. The Tongariro National Park’s ski fields and walking trails are 40 minutes’ drive away. Nice location and beautiful rooms. Only stayed for one night but enjoyed the walk nearby and used their kitchen facilities to cook a nice steak dinner.

Arista of Rotorua studios are 20 minutes’ walk from the famous Polynesian Spa. The property features a BBQ area and a pirate ship children’s playground set in lovely gardens. Guests enjoy unlimited WiFi. Most apartments feature a private hot tub and a private patio. The moment you open the door, you will be awed by the layout. Spacious and luxurious indeed. You will have two queen beds and two single beds in a two-floor room. Kids love playing up and down the stairs, and it was undoubtedly the best stay throughout our North Island trip in NZ. The personal spa jacuzzi in the room was another standout feature of this stay. There is also an on-property playground for the kids. The room was clean, comfortable and complete.

All apartments include a fully equipped kitchen, ceramic hot plate and under floor central heating. Facilities include a thermal-heated swimming pool, poolside bar, shared barbecue facilities and laundry. Sitting in the thermal bath with a glass of wine after dinner was the highlight.
