Lovely little motel run by a wonderful couple. If you come to Stewart Island, you couldn't find more generous and caring hosts.

Excellent support from the staff. Very helpful for getting to and from the Flight Centre to the motel and sorting out breakfast.

I enjoyed the facilities at the motel after three hard muddy days on the Rakiura Track.

We only stayed one night at the motel, but it was a very nice room. The owners of the motel were also very forthcoming and friendly.

The room was great, the bed was comfortable. The views of the harbour from the balcony were lovely. We were greeted by host when we arrived and they took us and our luggage to our meeting point for Ulva island taxi. They took our luggage to the motel. I would recommend the bus tour of the island too.

Large studio with beautiful view that was very clean & comfortable. Staff were helpful. Great location. Lots of fun watching the kakas, tui and kereru from the motel decks.

Lovely owners, really enjoyed our brief stay at The Bay Motel. We did not manage to contact the property for a pick up but somehow they showed up with transport at the pier seems like they do for all customers. It was a cold day and the heater was already on when we got there. Rooms were clean and well equipped. Will be back on my next visit to Stewart Island.

Donna and Ted are an amazing couple running the Motel. They went way above expectations in making our stay here a very rememberable one. Our room was very clean comfortable and warm. With an amazing view .

Would highly recommend this motel and would definitely stay there again! Appreciated the shuttle pick up from the ferry; great location as it's an easy walk into Oban; fantastic views; clean, spacious and well set out rooms; great value for money and really helpful, friendly and obliging manager. Best customer service and motel stay experience I have had for a long time.
