The staff was so helpful before and during our stay, including a last minute request for a lift from the Ferry terminal to our hotel. The room was large and comfortable, perfect for our stay. TY

Stewart Island's iconic South Sea Hotel is located on the foreshore, in the centre of town. It is 2 minutes’ walk from the ferry and airline terminals. A wonderful three-star hotel with friendly staff, unbeatable location, and all you need for a comfortable stay. We stayed in a studio and it was wonderfully quiet at night. In the evening you can mingle with the locals in the pub downstairs. There is a good selection of food and drinks and the pub closes early so there's no noise. Everyone was helpful and ready for a laugh. Can definitely recommend it.
