They made the sofa bed with lots of padding and it was so confortable I slept like a baby. I really liked staying there, very private and quiet, lots of space. We could park our car no problem. I will definitely come back as I want to do the heaphy track next year. It' s also perfect location to go to the farewell spit. And 10 minutes drive from the Chalet there are beautiful water source and we also found a walk up to see some grottas. The little village of Takaka is also very cute, lots of cool little shop and cafe. Highly recommend this area and this accomodation.

It’s such a sweet touch that they offer you milk for your morning coffee in a little jug. The location is fantastic. You can walk into town in a couple minutes. The town is awesome. Several wonderful coffee shops with delicious food and lots of hippie vibes stores.
