I did not expect to have a whole cabin. It was lovely. Overlooked a meadow and just a short walk to the two local restaurants and the beach. Owner allowed me to stash my suitcase while I trekked the Great Walk. Also on return gave me a free ride back to where I rented the backpack. Very kind folks. Lovely dog.

Gladstone Motel is a 5 star property in Richmond. Guests can enjoy a continental breakfast on request. Clean and Tidy. Reception were very helpful. Recommended us a great place for breakfast and fish and chips.

Eclectic little cluster of 4 chalets well maintained right outside of Tanaka (short 1 km walk on paved trail into town). Wonderful, welcoming owners who see after everything with great detail. Originally booked here because Kaiteriteri over the hill had nothing left, but would stay in Golden Bay again in heart beat. Nice drive to Totaranui on easy gravel road to take water taxi to Abel Tasman.

Exceptional stay. Much better then the couch at my daughters place. But in all seriousness staff are friendly, rooms are spacious and clean and bed was so comfy as well as the pillows. Very happy

Clean and comfy room with a super huge bed! Extra point for the sulfate-free products. Smooth check in experience and perfect location in the town. Great recommendations for dining and also for nearby sightseeing.
