Just 5 minutes’ walk from waterfront shops and restaurants on the Embarcadero, this Morro Bay hotel is 35 miles from Hearst Castle. All rooms include free Wi-Fi. At first glance, this is not a 2star property. Room was big and heating works well. Bath tub was nice. Beds comfortable for an uninterrupted sleep. There were some renovation works in the nearby rooms, but we didn’t hear any noises. Breakfast was simple and good.

Ocean Palms Motel is 1000 meters from Pismo Beach Pier. The motel offers free WiFi in all rooms. I had a great 3 night stay at this motel. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and had everything I needed for a nice holiday in Pismo. It is close enough to walk to restaurants, bars, shops and the beach. Pismo is a safe city to walk around and as a solo traveler I was happy enough walking around at night as well as daytime. I would stay here again, as it was good value for money in comparison to other places near by.

Located less than a minutes’ walk to the beach, this pet-friendly Santa Barbara motel offers an outdoor pool and modern guest rooms with cable TV. State Street is 5 minutes’ drive away. Very clean, comfortable bed, and a wonderful desk lady. On top of that, it’s only a couple of minutes to the beach and half an hour walk or a few minutes drive to the center of the city. Area felt really safe. It did not feel like your usual motel, it felt higher rank! Overall lovely place, would highly recommend.
