The Montauk Downs are 2.6 miles from Motel Born Free. The Montauk Lighthouse is 5.9 miles away. Montauk was a last minute decision - we had been visiting New York City. We wanted to tour the lighthouse but it was closed when we arrived. We did walk around the lighthouse and went back to watch the sunrise before leaving. We will definately be back and spend a few days. Our suite was clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated with all the amenities.
