To begin with, the location is lovely. Other hotels and motels are all set right by the road. The East Rock inn is set at the end of the long driveway in a much quieter, green area with a nice lawn with chairs to relax. The check-in process is super easy. I find it very relaxing not having to deal with staff. The code to your door also gives you access to a common room with some amenities. The room was modern, clean, spacious, and quiet. The beds were comfortable and the room had all the amenities that you needed like fridge, safe and kettle.

Great, very comfortable room & shower - modern, clean, good quality towels etc. Charming breakfast room & really nice continental style breakfast. The couple who manage the site obviously care & go out of their way to ensure you are comfortable & have everything you require - on check-in, I asked if there is a coffee machine/kettle in the room & was told there isn't but I will have one. Within 5 minutes a kettle, cups, tea etc were brought to the room!!! Location is very convenient for travelling around Cape Cod as is on one of the interior roads so convenient for getting around the cape. A really great place!

The Black Dog cafe - right next to Motel - offers a great choice of breakfast and for those who want refreshing cocktails, a beer and a nice meal - go for "The Shipwrecked" right at the beach. Everything is conveniently located and to be reached on foot, including the ferry to Martha's Vineyard. I can highly recommend this place. There is free coffee at the reception between 8 and 10am! Us and our children wished we would have stayed longer.
