From being picked up from the Station, until we departed this was an exceptional place to stay. An full apartment sized room, a soak in one of the two hot springs, two western-style breakfasts, our favorite hotel on a 15 hotel tour of japan. Front of house and chef were both great.

The accommodation was comfortable and homey, and the hosts Ben and Aya were welcoming and gracious. The hot spring was a nice additional feature too, which provided warm water on cold nights. The cleanliness of the place was well maintained and the interior was well decorated with efficient use of space.

A beautiful retreat in a rural area, no noise from people or traffic. We had a beautiful view from our private onsen. Even with poor weather it was nice and cosy looking out to the foggy mountains. Room was a good size to not feel cramped with 2 people. Everything was clean and the kitchen was stocked with quality dishes, cutlery and cooking pans. Pictures and description of the property were accurate. Staff were exceptional and friendly. We ran into a problem with trying to get a taxi in to town one morning and instead of the staff calling us a taxi, he very kindly offered to drive us there. Would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely book again.
