Very pleasant hotel with all the basic necessities and more. The onsen was quite nice and I enjoyed the little freebies (popsicles/ice cream in the evening) They also offer free ramen as a late-night snack at the restaurant which was a nice surprise. The staff graciously lent us some umbrellas as it was pouring outside. Price was okay

Staying at this traditional Japanese ryokan for six nights was a wonderful experience. The rooms were clean, and the air conditioning worked well. The hotel serves set breakfasts with a variety of small dishes, which I believe is a typical Japanese-style breakfast offered at many hotels. Each morning, you can choose from four different sets. The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful. The location is excellent, right in the heart of Kagoshima’s shopping district and city center. There are hundreds of restaurants and shops of all sizes nearby. It’s also easy to reach the main train station by taxi or public transportation. Additionally, several museums and Terukuni Shrine are within walking distance. If you’re looking to experience a traditional Japanese ryokan, we highly recommend this one.

They had very comfortable beds! The room was spacious. The dark wood furnishings gave it a classic vibe and it was very cozy.
