The staff are very polite and helpful, best hotel service I've seen since I came to japan. The hotel is located in the best area where you have a view of the river from the cafe. You can go sightseeing in kyoto or to the bamboo forest with 10 mins on foot. You're also near a train station.

The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff checking in were wonderful and helped us ship our bags and answered all the questions we had. The breakfast was plenty and delicious. The onsen was amazing and beautiful. We also tried the brick baths and those were very relaxing. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Lovely and detailed welcome from the staff. Room had a balcony and private Onsen looking out over the river towards the mountains. Hotel is in a very convenient location yet surprisingly quiet for being in the middle of a busy city. Complementary mini bar is generous. And staff were so kind. The rooftop bar is great too
