1. Service - Exceptional service with attention to detail. The staff are very polite. They also drove us down to the nearby eateries outside the hotel. What exceeds expectations is that they call me at 6pm to check what I am having for dinner and great service at the point part of the stay. 2. Facilities - Love the view, the Forest trail and the fireside Marshmellow bbq in the evening. 3. Food - Great food. Tried the Pasta of the day and Shinshu Beef. We usually have Kobe beef and the texture and the taste of the Shinshu Beef is excellent. Bread was excellent as well. Sangria is my favorite 4. Room - very clean. Hot tub is large with water from Ueno. Amenities like coffee, tea, juices are sufficient and good quality. 5. Location - great view and fresh air. Note that the hotel is far from Karuizawa. We book this hotel with that in mind, so we had spend 3 days in Karuizawa before arriving. Mainly stayed in the hotel area for our stay. Overall love this hotel. Exceeded expectations

Every detail of this villa is perfect. The tranquillity of the surroundings gives us inner peace. Great way to be away from city life and recharge! The staff members are really responsive and go every mile to make our stay wonderful. They even informed us to shift our car in anticipation of overnight snow. Even though we didn't meet face to face, their attentiveness and thoughtful gestures are truly appreciated and made our stay exceptional. Will be back again!

We stayed in SH01 - the rooms are beautiful (and very well maintained) and common area in all buildings very cozy. I love how all the buildings are surrounded by trees and we still got to see some red leaves even it is towards the end of the red leaves season. ShiShi Iwa team efficiency to resolve requests and demands, we feel pampered and taken care of in every way. We truly appreciate their quick response to our needs and transportation arrangement since we don't drive. The morning breakfast is excellent and we are so thankful the chef caters to our dietary request of vegetarian breakfast. The coffee (espresso especially) from lounge is excellent, the SSH team has a good curation of amenities - we hope we can purchase some next time to take a bit of ShiShi Iwa to home~ This is a wonderful place for retreat or a time to rejuvenate in nature - disconnect from the busy daily lifestyle and reconnect within. We will definitely return again and very much looking forward to another week there!

The hotel is in close proximity to the Karuizawa Prince Shopping Centre and the JR Karuizawa Station so getting around was a breeze, especially with the free shuttle service. The room is spacious and the bathroom is very well equipped with all necessary toiletries.
