the look and feel of this hotel totally exceeded my expectations. very japanese style and has private onsen which we really liked. japanese style breakfast was really good and they have a huge variety of food. rooms are kind of small but this is expected in Japan so we are not that concerned.

Sora Niwa Terrace Kyoto is one hotel you HAVE to choose for your next trip to Japan. The staff is simply amazing you can leave your luggage on arrival at the entrance on the ground floor and everything else will be organized by the amazing staff. At check in the luggage will be already in your room and they even provide two Yukatas for you. Both onsens are beautiful and relaxing and they change everyday so that women and men can appreciate both types. After the hot both enjoy free drinks or icecream in the Lobby area. The rooftop/bar itself is reason enough to book a room, the view is amazing and they even have a footbath underneath. Great little details and a beautiful experience. We really enjoyed our stay and will come back for sure!

This hotel is simply amazing and one of the best stays I had in Kyoto. The location is unbeatable — just across from Kyoto Station, which makes it incredibly easy to travel around the city or take day trips. Having such a central base really added convenience to my trip. The onsen is fantastic and a true highlight of the hotel. It’s beautifully maintained and the perfect way to relax after a busy day of exploring. I would say it’s a must-try if you stay here. Another unique touch is the free night noodles, which were really tasty and a fun way to end the evening. It made the whole experience feel more welcoming and thoughtful. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, with everything you need for a pleasant stay. Staff were also very professional and kind, making check-in and check-out smooth and easy. Overall, I highly recommend Dormy Inn Premium Kyoto Ekimae. Whether it’s the location, the facilities, or the small thoughtful details, this hotel offers great value and comfort. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Kyoto.

    Awesome hot springs hotel in Kyoto. Location is good, 10 min walk to the Kyoto Station. Has everything you need in the hotel. Highly recommend the breakfast buffet they got so much food. Appreciate that they give you a passcode for the women’s laundry as well as the onsen to make women feel safer. Whole facility very clean.

    Location was excellent! It's situated right next to Kamo River which was just so beautiful and there is a park that stretches alongside it. The ryokan itself is also very nicely done with a zen garden. The onsen was wonderful and well equipped. It had a hot spring feel to it. The kaiseki breakfast was top notch. Special mention goes to the milk which is really tasty. Room was great. It was big and spacious and the window view of the river and the trees just mesmerizes you.
