Surpassed our expectations in every way! Loved the included breakfast and 7 course dinner, the onsen-turned-bookstore, and the private onsen in our room with hot spring water directly from the source. 10/10 would return!

The room is modern and very clean with combination of beds on tatami mat (comfort and traditional feel). The 10th floor outdoor onsen with a cold breeze and hot soak is a nice experience. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the lady who also speaks good English.

The bathroom was very nice and we enjoyed the private onsen bathing facilities. The mattresses were comfortable and the breakfast buffet had many delicious options. There were plenty of parking spaces.

A traditional ryokan where the owners still hand make the soba noodles for dinner. Great private onsen, included in your stay and amazing food. A bus from Matsumoto station runs frequently and stops outside the property. The staff were so considerate and helpful. A great stay overall!
