The staff was very welcoming and helpful. You won't have any problems even if you don't speak Japanese. The shared bath was very nice but the highlight for me was the private onsen, going in and out of the onsen while enjoying the night sky all night was a really nice experience. The food was exceptional, both dinner and breakfast.

Very big space in the room which has a lake view. I am usually sceptical of buffet dinners, but the one at Shion was amazing - get the beef/steak which is cooked on the spot! There is also a washer (free but pay for detergent) and dryer (not free) available in the basement.

Room is very wide and have a nice view. There is an onsen on site too! Shared toilet is clean. There is an option for breakfast.lots of foot onsen around and a nice view. Buses are not frequent, just be careful if you want to travel around.
