I know Hilton has been providing excellent service in hospitality industry. Hilton Odawara did it even better this time! I was going to Osaka from Odawara and needed help to ship my luggage over to an unmanned apartment. The hotel was in a quiet location, with superb nature surrounding it, all the while being within a 3 minute walk to the train station. Since it's a fairly small hotel, the onsens were always empty and available. There's also a foot bath that is open 24 hours, which is great. Special credit goes to the lounge area with a turntable and a pretty impressive collection of records.

The hotel service and its staff provides a professional and very courtesies service. The twin suite room was spacious and large. The in room private hot spring also amazing. Western breakfast was ok. Mr. Kaito from F&B was very helpful and extremely nice during breakfast. Shuttle bus from and to Odawara station provides by the hotel also ver convenience. Overall this hotel provides a luxury and best hospitality services.

Kaiseki and breakfast were delicious, private onsen was very relaxing, serenity of room, futon and blankets were very comfortable. Our attendant was also very patient with us, communicated well in English, and answered all our questions.

This was an absolutely fantastic experience! This hotel room was the best we’ve stayed in throughout our entire trip to Japan. Don’t be put off by the hotel’s location—there are bus routes just a 3-minute walk away, and an excellent onsen (one of the best in Hakone) is only a 10-minute walk from the property. The hotel building itself is quite old, but the room has a very fresh, modern, and authentic renovation, which we really loved. As for the room itself, it’s incredibly cozy—warm, with perfectly functioning air conditioning, all the necessary kitchen and bathroom amenities, and even a drink bar. The owner has clearly put a lot of effort into maintaining the room’s cleanliness and upkeep—no stray hairs on the floor, no dust, stains, or musty smells. Everything was spotless and comfortable. We also loved the traditional Japanese touches in the room—swords on display (I think they were a katana and a tanto, though I’m no expert) and beautiful traditional women’s garments like yukatas and uchikake, which you can wear for a photoshoot. There’s even a QR code linking to a video on how to properly put them on. The room also offers a stunning view of the mountainside and cherry blossoms—the scenery from the window is absolutely breathtaking, and my wife was completely delighted. The bedding was fresh, warm, and comfortable, and the mattresses were great too. The owner himself is very friendly, responds quickly, and is always ready to help if anything comes up. I highly recommend choosing this room if you’re planning a trip to Hakone and want to enjoy the onsen!

Loved our stay here! It had everything we needed and more: • Large room with 2 comfortable double beds • Projector, with Netflix, Prime etc. (note you’ll have to sign in if you have an account) • Kitchenette • washing machine/dryer • Dining room • Balcony with foot spa • And the best bits, Sauna and Private indoor onsen bath in the room (with Mountain View - not Mt Fuji but it was still nice being surrounded by greenery after our city trips) They even provided us with some snacks and drinks in the fridge which was a lovely touch! We got the J bus from Odawara (I think it said approx 30 mins but with traffic took a bit longer!) The bus stop pretty much stops 100m from the hotel. There’s a bus stop across the road that takes you back towards Hakone/Odawara. There’s Kowakudani Station 5 mins walk from the hotel (which will take you to Hakone and Odawara too) We recommend going to Hakone Picnic, Taiwanese restaurant for food. The food and service was great, and it had incredible views of the mountain, again 5 mins walk from the hotel. A little further up the hill maybe another 5 mins is a 7 eleven. Despite not having a reception, check in was fairly straightforward (this can be done in your room) and queries were quickly answered and resolved through a FaceTime call (using their iPad). Note: details for access and your room is provided prior to your stay via email/booking.com messages. I’d definitely stay in a Rakuten hotel again!

    This hotel is beautiful. The pools and onsen were amazing. The staff was professional and accommodating. We felt taken care of the entire time. The food was excellent, particularly the breakfast buffet. There is a shuttle that takes you to town.

    Although the location seemed a little difficult the hotel staff were so kind to send the evening before the way to find the hotel. If you follow it it is vert easy. The location was the best, on top of a shopping mall , connected to the train station. And 10 minutes from the beautiful Odawara tower. The hotel itself is really great, a big room with a fantastic shower very clean and a really nice ONSEN.

    Good Onsen; the male onsen had a view of the castle. Wonderful breakfast with a huge selection, and panoramic views of ocean and mountains. Large food court on a lower level, with great sashimi.

    It is located near the station so it is really convenient for taking buses and trains. The hot springs on the tenth floor are amazing, just 150¥ per night to use them. The staff is really kind and welcoming.

    Room was very nice and comfortable. Location was great, litterally connected to the train station, which I then used to travel in to Hakone for the day. Lots of good restaurants in the area, and in the same building. The onsen was really nice, a little hot for me, but that usually means it's perfect for most people (it was around 40-42 degrees). The outdoor onsen had a great view of odawara castle (atleast the mens one did)

    Great view from the top of the building breakfast/lunch/dinner restaurant. Vast breakfast choice with lovely restaurant staff. Close to the station, restaurants in Minato and around the center, and the castle. Quiet hotel rooms with a view. Vapor sauna and water from Hakone in the hot spring.
