The place was lovely, and we were warmly welcomed by the host at arrival. The host is friendly, attentive and the place had a view of Mt Fuji from the breakfast table. Strongly recommend! Private bath was truly a gem.

We like everything, it was very nice area. Very nice host, friendly and kind, there is everything that you need to have a good time, to do bbq, private space. You feel very relaxed

An authentic Japanese small hotel. Very quiet and clean. The bed is very comfortable. What we liked the best is the private onsen. They have 2 onsen rooms with shower and dressing area, complete with toiletries. My husband and i enjoyed it very much. We had the entire onsen place exclusive to us. The staff is very nice and helped us carry our travelling bag to the second floor. Showed us the amenities of the hotel like giving us a “house tour”. They speak good English. We needed to shorten our stay since their place was far from our target location and they were very helpful to reverse the transaction. For us, everything was excellent! We had a very relaxing stay. There is a well known Japanese restaurant that serves authentic Hoto, Syouya, it is popular to celebrities. We arrived at 5pm but it was full after a few minutes. Denny’s is also near the area and we had a good breakfast facing the Yamanakako Lake.

Positives- location; cleanliness; onsen. Negatives- Not really a negative but found it about pricey compared to the other properties. Would be great if they could introduce some vegetarian dishes in the menu.

The stay was absolutely perfect! Great facilities, great food, great staff, great view. We were lucky that Fuji was entirely visible, but it would've been a great experience either way.
