We celebrated two birthdays and I was able to coordinate the delicious cakes over email. They even helped us take a photo and printed it out so we all had a little souvenir <3 So thoughtful! The rooms and building were lovely, as was the outdoor onsen. We did the private onsen experience too which was a little extra, but worth it especially to spend time with a partner. I also spent ¥6K for their dinner, and comparable to the few nearby restaurants. Especially nearby small restaurants need to be pre-booked. Location is great few blocks from the train station to Nagano City. Also few bus routes that take you to Snow Money Park and skiing areas. Loved the traditional feel of the room and ryokan. The 2 private onsens were great, good self-booking system for these. The underground passage to the standing bar was unique and quirky. Parts of the building are historic but was also very clean. Toiletries provided; and slippers, yukata and geta wooden shoes available to borrow. Easy access to public buses to Jigokudani and Shiga Kogen 4. The ryokan itself is very comfortable and big for a ryokan. It’s public bath is spacious and very clean. It also has several private Onsen rooms for booking. The private dining is excellent. The public areas has free computers and internet as well as complimentary hot beverages.
