Dormy Inn Akita is located opposite historical Senshu Park and is a 5-minute walk. from JR Akita Station is 8-minute walk. Free internet access and a public bath are provided. The staff was kind and accommodating - they responded to my requests promptly and compassionately. The rooms were nice, as was the location! I especially liked the hot bath on the 11F; you could see a beautiful outlook of Akita while relaxing.

Beautiful hotel, beautiful location right across the street from the lake. All rooms have lake views, and the private onsen does as well. Sunsets from the private onsen, sunrises from our room - pure bliss. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. This is one of the places we will return to again!

I was flabbergasted at how wonderful the baths were, and how comfortable the futon actual is. Tatami mats are such a blessing for the feet for how soft they are. The complementary drinks such as tea or Coke was a great touch from when you come out of the bath. The location was spectacular as I got to see so much snow, and that too I got to experience an open bath in the snow was picturesque. I honestly miss it so much. There was availability of extra blankets as well but the bedding already provided was so soft I did not even notice the fact it was cold outside (there is a heater in the room as well). Breakfast was fantastic (I missed out on dinner so I cannot comment but that would probably be great as well), it was a buffet style with a lot of different Japanese breakfast dishes to try from, such as fish, mini hot dogs, miso and rice, croquettes etc, so much so I had three rounds of breakfast.

I went at an early hour and it was very peaceful. We were able to see sakura from the window of our room. We only stayed one day but enjoyed our stay!
