It was beautiful, very clean and in a great location just a short walk from the historic centre of Takayama. The staff were incredibly friendly and kind, and made us feel so at home. I can’t recommend it enough!

Nestled in the tranquil Hida Mountains, Miyama Ouan Kyoritsu Resort offers traditional accommodation featuring hot spring baths and nature views. All guest rooms are fitted with wooden furnishings, providing a perfect haven for relaxation. The property offers free pick-up shuttles from Hirayu Onsen bus stop, a 3-mintue ride away. This was my third stay now and it keeps impressing me. Tranquil building, polite staff, excellent food and extras like drinks and snacks during the day. It is very relaxing and quiet inside and you can soak in the outside and inside bath as much as you want (private and public). Thank you again for the spontaneous pick up from the bus station when it started pouring. Can recommend at least 2 nights including dinner and breakfast and take your time to get out of the busy cities.

The ryokan is located in a geothermal area, with a number of hot springs nearby for guests to relax in. A great host, with a very worm hospitality. A beautiful place with private onsens. The meals were amazing! We stayed for 3 nights and we highly recommend :)

This 4-star ryokan offers luggage storage space and bicycle parking. The ryokan has parking on-site, a hot spring bath and full-day security. Authentic Ryokan experience with an incredible service (very nice people, free drinks and snacks, free face masks and drinks for our onsen private bath, free kimono rental…) Very nice and clean traditional Japanese room with all amenities (tea service, traditional charcoal space…) we slept very well !! possibility to reserve a private bath in the onsen which was really nice !

There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi, free private parking and an electric vehicle charging station. It’s a quiet location, which is nice. First time in years that I have slept without earplugs. Good to know: you can not bathe at the guesthouse. I was a bit scared of using the Onsen at first, but ended up loving it. The hosts are such nice people. They made my stay even better, thank you so much.

The ryokan is located in a geothermal area, with a number of hot springs nearby for guests to relax in. The village is in a beautiful spot and the ryokan felt very nice. The room was spacious and comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were both really tasty and big, with great beef that just melted in the mouth. The hot springs were also very good, and since there weren’t many people we could try all the private baths without any problem. I’d be happy to come back here again

Minshuku Takizawa provides a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within 29 km of Kamikochi and 30 km of Kappa Bridge. With an open-air bath, the 3-star ryokan has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a shared bathroom. The ryokan features mountain views and a picnic area. The staff went out of their way to make our stay as good as possible. They even cooked for us even if we didn't make a reservation.(Our mistake) All in all great.
