Kusatsu Onsen Eidaya is located in Kusatsu. The property is a 10-minute walk from Kusatsu Yubatake and Kusatsu-Onsen Bus Terminal. We had a wonderful, relaxing stay at Eidaya. The staff were all lovely, especially the young gentleman who served us during our meals, and the owner was also very warm and welcoming. The food was great and they were able to cater to our allergies/dietary requirements. I also loved all the retro games and decor - it felt like a lot of love and thought had been put in to the ryokan!

Parking lot was plenty. The hostess let us check-in early even though we arrived relatively early. The rooms were traditional style with everything you need for a comfortable stay.

This ryokan exceeded all our expectations. Located in the heart of Kusatsu Onsen, it provided easy access to the town centre and bus station. The staff were exceptional, very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The hotel itself was spotless, and our room was spacious, comfortable, and equipped with everything we needed. We really enjoyed their breakfast. We stayed there 2 nights and it was different both mornings. A special highlight was being able to enjoy the onsen without any issues despite having tattoos that I can't cover.

This place was incredible, perfectly located, huge room with a nice view. The onsen /sauna in the hotel.i great. Most importantly is how I was welcomed and treated by Miki, the owner. A homemade pudding was waiting for me . I highly recommend this place!!!

We arrived to a stunning sight of Tanigawa Mountain, which immediately set a serene tone for our stay. - Room Ambiance: We stayed in the "Tachibana" room, named after flowers. It was quiet, peaceful, and surprisingly spacious. The overall atmosphere was perfect for a relaxing city getaway. - Private Onsen: The private onsen was the highlight of our stay, offering a tranquil and rejuvenating experience. - Dining Experience: Both dinner and breakfast were impressive, with beautifully prepared and delicious meals.

The real Japanese design for overall accommodation are excellent. The service of the three people ( may be the owner) are very warm and kindness.

Beautiful building in gorgeous surroundings. Fabulous baths and all in all a serene experience, especially during the week when there are less people. Luxurious enough but not over the top.

Located along Houshi River, Houshi Onsen Chojukan features a public hot spring bath, Japanese-style accommodations with free Wi-Fi and Japanese cuisine. The onsen is amazing, they all have a great atmosphere and they have a mixed one. Great dinner and breakfast too!

Oyado Tamaki offers indoor/outdoor hot-spring baths and a traditional garden with benches where guests can sit and relax in. The property is near public transportation, which is a big plus for a solo traveller without a car. I took a room with a private onsen, which was really enjoyable. The dinner and breakfast were all excellent. The staff were very nice and accommodating. I really felt warm-hearted when they tried to explain the dinner menu in english and did a handwritten english translation of the breakfast menu. They also offered to drop me off at the bus station and reminded me when to expect the bus. It was incredibly sweet. I do love the area as it was a good break from the city’s hustle and bustle. The Ikaho footsteps is about a 5-minute walk. It has a lot of shops so it is a good distraction while climbing the stairs.
