The multi-course kaiseki meal was beautifully presented and very delicious, including fresh, local, seasonal ingredients. The hotel's location is good for visiting the Itsukushima Torii (Water gate) as it is just one station away from it but at the same time away from the madness of the island.

The ryokan is located in a geothermal area, with a number of hot springs nearby for guests to relax in. The staff was extremely nice and took care of us. The room and its view were breath taking. They even helped me with my food allergy and made sure I can eat the food they are offering. The room was quiet with some ocean waves splashing into the shore sounds.

The hotel is featured in Michelin Green Guide Japan 2013. A free shuttle is available from Hiroshima Station, a 30-minute ride away. Very small room, but known in advance, so acceptable. Would have loved the change to pay for an upgrade to a larger room, but the hotel was full. I thought the staff did an excellent job to accommodate all of our needs and wishes. Would stay here again for sure. Club was delightful and staff nicely engaged.

The view from our balcony is stunning. The private bath is awesome too! Staff are so nice and helpful!
