I really like this place. The female owner has an inquisitive mind, a warm personality, and a kind heart. Her English is good enough to communicate and ask for help. The sauna and the private onsen in the room are top-notch. I did not check the public onsen with natural hot spring, but heard it's amazing too. I booked the 5th floor with an ocean view, and the private onsen experience during starry night and the set rise were indeed amazing! The hotel itself is located in a remote little cute fish town called osatsucho, where you can find fishmen and women harvesting and selling the Ise lobsters in the morning by the port. It was a very unique and interesting experience to stay in that little town for two days during the winter when it was not crowded at all. The nearest convenience store is 10 + miles away. It was a very natural, grounding, even retreat-like experience to me, and it was drastically different from my experience in Tokyo, Nayoga, or Osaka. I did spot a few demolished houses with broken windows in the town, not sure if it's because of COVID or during the winter when there were fewer tourists. The big plus is the Shinmei shrine next door to the hotel, which is a very calming and spiritual place to visit and stay for a bit too.

Sun Urashima Yuki no Sato provides accommodation in Toba. Boasting free shuttle service, this property also provides guests with a terrace. Both breakfast and dinner were tasty, served in the restaurant private dining rooms, carefully crafted and excellent service. Big thank you to the staff :)

But most of all, the hospitality of the staff is over the roof, absolutely exceptional service and kindness, words can't express how much we have been taken care of. Really grateful for all the kindness.

The onsen was spacious, with an option for both indoor and outdoor. The futons were very comfortable in our rooms, with an added bonus of some snacks that the room service staff would kindly refill. Breakfast and dinner were both buffet, with a wide variety of food. If you choose to stay more than one night, the staff will nicely prepare an additional course ontop of the buffet for dinner at no additional charge (which was a pleasant surprise!). The hotel has a night snack in the form of ramen as well. The staff were very friendly, even the shuttle bus drivers.

I researched this hotel thoroughly before booking and was impressed by all the glowing reviews about the stunning views, convenient location, delicious food, and excellent service. With high expectations, my husband and I decided to book our stay here. What truly exceeded those expectations—and completely surprised us—was that we are lucky enough to see Mt FUJI. Not only could we admire it from the lobby, but we were also fortunate enough to enjoy the view right from our room.

Offering an outdoor pool and a restaurant, Todaya is located in Toba. The property is a 3-minute walk from JR Toba station and is a convenient location from where to tour Ise-Shima. The breakfast was delicious. The food tasted very fresh. We especially appreciated that many of the food stations had attendants preparing the dishes. It got very busy at one point, but we never had an issue getting our food. The shuttle to and from Toba Station was very convenient. We contacted the staff from a payphone at Toba Station. We were able to communicate our needs through our very limited knowledge of the Japanese language. The driver took our luggage and said they would store it till we checked in. This allowed us to continue on with our sightseeing plans without physically going to the hotel first. That really helped maximize our time in Toba! Wonderful Service!
