The most wonderful stay at a property that was hands down the most luxurious one we stayed at whilst our two weeks in Japan. Describing the suite and the level of care that has gone into making this ryokan a pampering experience for guests in words would not do it justice. From the private onsen, Aesop products in the bathroom, fully stocked fridge everyday (all complimentary), huge and extra comfortable beds and incredible Japanese breakfast. We loved every second of our stay in Kanazawa and were so glad to add an extra night.

The staff were extremely friendly and the hot springs by the river were fantastic. The meals were by far the best japanese food I've ever had. Located in a beautiful town with lots of shops and a nice walking trail along the river. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a traditional onsen ryokan experience.

The owner and team were so wonderful and looked after us beautifully. The suite itself was divine. Soaking in a cedar tub while looking at the forest floor is something we’ll never forget. The private dining room makes your stay feel even more exclusive. The food was truly out of this world. Our baby was catered for beautifully. We even had a large Moses basket in the dining room for her to rest. The area itself is very cool- there was an arts and crafts fair there when we stayed. There is a beautiful forest walk too. Can’t fault the stay and can’t wait to return one day.
