Beds are comfortable and for my family of 3 was perfect. My 3.4 yo girl loves bunk beds and one of the upper ones is covered so she couldn’t fall during sleep. Restaurant is decent, the wheat bread was amazing, salmon too. Breakfast was a 8/10 but plentiful. Onsen is small but perfect, we loved it. Location is 10/10, 3 min from Gora station. It was the best stay we had in Japan. And room is spacious.

Super frumos hotelul, combina traditionalul cu modernul. Bufetul si de dimineata si cel de cina sunt delicioase. Camera cu onsen foarte mare si curata. O experiența deosebita. Hotelul este la 3 minute de mers de statia telegondolei si corabiei. Am fost doi adulti si un bebe de 16 luni, si el a primit kit de ingrijire cu papucei de copilasi si yukata de copii.

Opened in April 2017, Hakone Kowakien Tenyu offers Japanese-style rooms with tatami flooring, an open-air bath or ceramic open-air hot springs bath made with Shigaraki pottery. This has to be one of the greatest experiences I've ever had in a resort or hotel. The location is absolutely beautiful, and the rooms are super spacious and clean. The tubs on the balcony are lovely, the beds and pillows are incredibly comfortable. The breakfast buffet is fantastic and super impressive, catering to both Japanese and Western cuisine with the most incredible wide selection I've seen. Dinner was absolutely fantastic, with both the courses and the seafood buffet being exceptional. Among all the hotels I've stayed at, this place has the friendliest staff, catering to your every need. They offer a free shuttle bus to Gora Station as well as free ice cream from the vending machines. They have two onsen: one with an infinity pool and a fantastic view, and a garden one with a beautiful waterfall. I cannot recommend this place enough; we had the most fantastic stay ever.

Am avut acces nelimitat la onsen. Cina a fost o experiență interesantă, la fel și mic dejunul. Nu am petrecut decât o zi jumătate în zonă, dar a meritat din plin.

Melinda was the hostess who took care of us for the 2 nights. She was very professional, friendly and took the time to explain each dishes to us at dinner and breakfast. The same can be said of all the staff. The Kaseiki dinner and breakfast were exceptional, especially the quality of the sashimi. We stayed 2 nights and the menus are different on both days. Our traditional room is very clean, on the 5th floor with view of trees and river below. The outdoor onsen was small but very clean, with the same beautiful trees and river views. I was pretty much the only peson at the outdoor onsen in the evening, so quiet and relaxing with sound of the river . We also booked the private onsens for 2 days and they were also clean with modern aesthetic vibes.
