Comfortable Accommodations: Onsen Guest House Tsutaya in Hakone offers comfortable rooms with private bathrooms, air conditioning, and mountain views. Everything was perfect! The capsule was very spacious and comfortable. The best one in whole Japan. The design of the Onsen and the whole Guesthouse in general is very cute and would love to go back.

We loved the cozy lounge with the fireplace and the thoughtfully prepared dinners. The ryokan room we stayed in was big and comfortable with a lovely view of the zen garden. The private onsen was a great way to relax and warm up since we were there in Feb. The location seemed a little far at first because it is a 15 min walk (or short bus) from Gora Station but it ended up being perfect. The hotel is near 4 bus lines so actually allowed us to get around to our hiking destinations, odowara station and the open air museum easily.

Featuring a terrace with views of Lake Ashi, Hakone・Ashinoko Hanaori offers a soothing hot spring bath and sauna. The property is situated a 2-minute walk from Togendai Station on Hakone Ropeway. The hotel staying was very accomodating. The staff was very attentive. I was dumbfounded when I saw the view of hotel and Ashinoko. Great place for a weekend getaway and family trip.

Opened in April 2017, Hakone Kowakien Tenyu offers Japanese-style rooms with tatami flooring, an open-air bath or ceramic open-air hot springs bath made with Shigaraki pottery. Everything is awesome. Great view, well maintained property, beautiful landscape and garden, wide selection for dinner and breakfast, food is top notch and generous. Staff are well trained and professional.

Boasting rare nigori-yu milky water hot spring baths and , Mount View Hakone offers Japanese-style rooms and Japanese delicacies. The Dinner was an amazing cultural experience as was the Private Onsen, the staff were very proffesional and helpful, and the facility was very clean and comfortable.

The price discouraged me at first, but it was worth it. After walking every day, this was my break from it. Just laying in the private onsen on the balcony until dinner. Regarding the food. It was special. I had the steak set as I don't like seafood that much. Trust me when I say this, but you will not walk away hungry. Also, it is best not to eat before dinner. Head my warning because I did not. .

Opened in 1878, The Fujiya Hotel features Meiji Era architecture set in Hakone’s natural beauty. The hotel went beyond our expectations. Everything was excellent from the moment we arrived to when we checked-out. The hotel staff is extremely friendly and professional, the onsen area is beautiful and has a view over the mountains surrounding the hotel. For breakfast, we opted for the traditional Japanese restaurant and everything was perfect, form the food to the ambience and the location.

The room was clean, updated, with everything you might need. The balcony overlooking Mount Fuji was incredible. Relaxing in our own private hot spring overlooking the view was just incredible. And it’s a 2 minute walk from the pirate ship port so easy access to the Hakone loop.
