Amazing ryokan experience - everything was simply great. Nothing to be improved, because everything is perfect.

We really enjoyed our stay. We booked a room with its own outside onsen tub, which was excellent. As we had our own private onsen, we did not use the common bathing facilities. As there are no restaurants anywhere near the hotel, we ate both breakfast and dinner at the hotel each day. They prepared different meals for us each time, and the meal presentation and taste were outstanding. The staff were also excellent, and attended to our every request. Several staff members were able to speak English as we can't speak any Japanese. The location is a bit out of town along a winding forest road. It would be impossible to get to the hotel without a car and google maps. With the meals our stay was somewhat expensive but we would definitely stay again when we are in the area.

Kurokawa Onsen Yama no Yado Shinmeikan har 5 varme kilder, herunder et 30 m langt grotte-bad. The staff was extremely helpful, parking our car for us and helping us navigate. The cave onsen was stunning, as the cave was much larger than I expected and very interesting, and the water was very relaxing. The food was also incredible!

Located in the centre of Kurokawa Onsen, Oyado Noshiyu offers outdoor and indoor hot-spring baths, Japanese-style accommodations and a traditional teahouse. Staff is very nice. Dinner and Breakfast are perfact and elegant. Onsen is also very good.

Hotel Yumeshizuku ligger i Minami Aso i Kumamoto-regionen, 10 km fra Naka-dake. Der er spabad og sauna. Samtlige værelser på dette hotel har aircondition og fladskærms-tv. The private onsen was very nice. Hotel had good facilities like foot spa with a great view of Mt Aso. Dinner and breakfast was great and staff were friendly and able to speak english.

Great location, very nice setting and loved the different Onsen. The food was amazing and the staff very thoughtful and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it.
