Such an amazing stay! The staff is lovely, and the service was exceptional. The scenery was amazing! I am definitely coming back here!!!

Fujimoto-san in particular was very polite and friendly. He helped us from picking us to the bus stop to the end of our trip.  Although the location is not in Kurokawa Onsen town, the staff were accommodating and dropped us off and picked us up from the town and from and to the bus stop when we arrived and left. The room and onsens were clean and spacious. We enjoyed the outdoor private onsen in particular. The public cave onsen was also quite fun.  The dinner and lunch was delicious highlighted local ingredients expertly prepared by the chef.  Overall, our stay at Hanamura was beyond our expectations and was relaxing and peaceful.

Built in 1722, Okyakuya is situated in the historical district of Kurokawa Onsen district. Located only 100 metres from Kurokawa Onsen, Free WiFi is provided and private parking is available on site. Very kind steps till I leave the hotel

Outstanding service, amazing food (dinner and breakfast included, both multi course exquisitely prepared works of art!) , facilities were lovely (private onsen), very comfortable bed, wonderful stay.

Kurokawa Onsen Yama no Yado Shinmeikan features 5 hot-spring baths, including a 30-metre long cave bath. Location. Stunning view and atmosphere. Sympathy from the staff. Kudos for Shujan for his kindness and informative interaction. Amazing food experience.

Located in the centre of Kurokawa Onsen, Oyado Noshiyu offers outdoor and indoor hot-spring baths, Japanese-style accommodations and a traditional teahouse. Accommodation with in-room onsen was superb. Meals were exceptional. Staff were very attentive. The ryokan onsen really felt like a traditional Japanese inn with comfortable modern ammenities. There were nooks and corners around the ryokan to sit and relax and laze around.

Located in Minami Aso in the Kumamoto Region, 10 km from Naka-dake, Hotel Yumeshizuku boasts a hot spring bath and sauna. Each room at this hotel is air conditioned and features a flat-screen TV. Everything was perfection - starting from my arrival, public bathhouse experience, the cozy room, delicious dinner and breakfast and very kind staff members. The view of Mt. Aso from the third floor lookout and the footbath area is impeccable. Also, much special thanks to Mr. Isao Tsugayasu, who was extremely helpful and kind to us throughout the stay! He truly made our experience at Yumeshizuku unforgettable. Thank you so much again for your kindness and hospitality. I look forward to my next stay at Yumeshizuku in the nearest future.

Situated in the centre of the Kurokawa Onsen Area and boasting a total of 8 indoor/outdoor hot spring baths, Nanjoen offers traditional Japanese-style accommodation with tatami (woven-straw) flooring... Gorgeous traditional ryokan, with beautifully appointed rooms—we had one of the en-suite onsen baths, and I highly recommend it! The dinners and breakfasts were sumptuous and almost too much food, all very delicious. The staff is friendly, impeccable, and very helpful. The area itself is also lovely, with plenty of shops and nearby onsens to explore.

Boasting various indoor and open-air hot spring baths, Fumoto Ryokan offers traditional Japanese-style accommodation with a historic charm. It is surrounded by serene greenery next to a river. Everything! From the moment we parked our car till leaving the village, everything was at 7 out of 5 stars level! The attention and help of staff, the baths, the meals - everything! Loved our stay!
