Breakfast= huge but Dinner = a little small for our crew. (Spanish/Australian mix). It's fine. Just bring snacks ;).

The same care was given to my baby; that every evening he found a thought in the room just for him. The restaurant is also family friendly and this is very nice.

The comfortable rooms, beautiful views, lovely yukatas and amazing food (we had both breakfast and dinner) were some highlights. Our hosts were kind and friendly, and we loved the ability to take out the free bikes and explore Ohara! The view of the valley at sunrise is fantastic. We would love to come back to Kyoto and stay at Ryoso Chatani again.

The room was absolutely gorgeous with all the amenities you could hope for including coffee, snacks, drinks and luxury hair- and skincare products. The bed was so comfortable I didn't want to get back up. Dinner and breakfast were both delicious, every course was explained in detail with instructions on how to best enjoy each dish. Since the food depends on the season so much, I would love to come back at a warmer time of year one day to see the difference. In addition to the shared onsen and the one on the balcony, you can also book a time slot for a private outdoor bath. They also have the option to book a massage, which was wonderful after traveling for two weeks and carrying a backpack the entire time. If I get the opportunity to come back, I would love to stay for two nights in order to fully enjoy everything.
