The staff were absolutely amazing and the facility is beautiful. We had a great time enjoying the Onsen, delicious food, and seeing the nearby temples.

Biwako Ryokusuitei offers Japanese-style/Western rooms with Lake Biwako views, a flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi. In room onsen was fantastic. Beautiful views of the lake. Friendly staff. Beautiful food for both dinner and breakfast. Public onsen was also excellent. One of us couldn't attend the public onsen due to extensive tattoos, but the option of a private onsen circumvented this issue.

Very thoughtful. We booked the spa service ahead of time and it's very enjoyable. We upgrade our room with a private onsen, they fill up the water and keep it warm just so we won't have to wait, very thoughtful. The food is super good quality, enjoyable. I highly recommend staying at this place. Really 10/10!!

We loved the tranquil scenery which overlooked Lake Biwa. Breakfast and dinner were exceptional and traditional. We stayed two nights and the meals were never repeated. We loved the in room outdoor onsen overlooking the lake and the massage chair was a nice touch. A very relaxing stay. The staff was very friendly and really tried to speak English to us. We had no communication barriers. Will definitely return and highly recommend this ryokan. Very memorable experience.
