The hotel was quite nice, little bit old fashioned, but clean. The room was large enough, in traditional Japanese style (tatami). The spa ("onsen") was really good, we enjoy it very much!

We could even use the kitchen.

The ryokan is located in a geothermal area, with a number of hot springs nearby for guests to relax in. Everything was absolutely wonderful, from the kind staff, food, room, and amenities.

With an open-air bath, the 3-star ryokan has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a shared bathroom. The ryokan features family rooms. Onsen was high class, both inside and outside, Nice and hot too. Dinner and breakfast is a must, very nice traditional meal sets which was nicely presented with great service. Overall experience was so good we will ensure a return visit if it fits in with our travel route through our next trip to Japan. Lovely experience.

The staff is very nice and attentive. The dinner is delicious and sumptuous.

Sakunami Hot Spring is 24 km from Almont Hotel Sendai, while Sakuraoka Daijingu is 1.3 km away. The nearest airport is Sendai Airport, 14 km from Almont Hotel Sendai. The room is small, as most of the Japanese city hotel rooms. But we only use it to sleep, so it doesn't matter to us. The service was great from the staff. Breakfast is adequate using local produces. We enjoyed the onsen bath. Easy walking distance to Sendai station even for my 80 year old mother. Plenty of restaurants around. Great price. Loved it.
