This hotel exceeded our expectations in every way! 5 minute walk from the train station and central area for restaurants, super clean, room was big and the bed was comfortable, quiet at night even though it's close to the train station, the free ramen was delicious and the onsen was 10x better than we expected - seemed new, very modern and clean, with a view of the Japanese alps and an indoor and outdoor area. Great value and we wish we had stayed for an extra night!

Our host was super nice and friendly, our family had a utmost warm welcome and introduction of the house. Delighted to see a historical house so well taken care of and the cuisine was just exceptional. To keep it short, I just wish to have stay one more night!

We had both meals, breakfast and dinner, with them. All we tasted was fantastic. The possibility to turn the public bath into a private Onsen when there isn't someone using it, it's another differential. The futons was soft and we had a good night sleeping. The heating in our room was the right way too. Surely we'll come back.
