Fantastic hosts, so accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. They literally drove us to the slopes every day and picked us up. They even drove us to Nagano to catch the train back to Tokyo at the end of our stay. The accommodation has been decorated and furnished to a very high standard and is super modern. To get the best from this property, get stuck in and meet the other guests, it's such a relaxed, fun atmosphere. Noise levels drop by 10pm to ensure a peaceful night sleep and the breakfast/ food it's awesome. Thanks for the fabulous welcome to all the staff at Dark Horse.

Simply the best accomodation I have experienced anywhere! Our stay with Maki, her Mother and Kenta dog was relaxing and magical after a week in Tokyo and Maki does absolutley everything to make you feel welcome and at home with her gentle, warm hospitality, The Ryokan itself is an elegant traditional building and is beautifully kept. The amazing Kaiseki dinner and breakfasts that Makis mother presents every night are a wonderful way to experience traditional japanese food after a relaxing onsen bath. Maki was simply the best host, she even drove us up to the start of our walk trail and booked our lunchtime soba restaurant. The local area is breathtaking even in late autumn / early winter and a walk around the shrines is enough to fill a very pleasant day, Wel ove you Maki and we will be back!

Chef Toru Watanabe impressed us with his vegan preparations... Staff was attentive and eager to please. Overall, worth the experience.

Residence Yasushi encontra-se em Nozawa Onsen, a 22 km de Ryuoo Ski Park e 33 km de Parque dos Macacos Jigokudani. very nice service and friendly staff . I'm really enjoy the stay , especially the hot spring can be all yours during the reservation .

Takimi Onsen Inn that only accepts one group per day encontra-se em Nagiso, a 9,1 km de Otsumago, e apresenta acomodações com um jardim, estacionamento privado gratuito e um restaurante. stayed for 2 nights at this place and it was one of the best experiences on our 3 week trip to Japan. The house is owned by husband and wife who works at the place. We had the whole house to ourselves 2 people. The house is situated 6 km from town and is a traditional Japanese onsen next to a waterfall. We felt very welcome and the family went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The food was some of the best we had in Japan cooked traditionally by the fire in the house and served in the dining room. The family drove us forth and back to the train station, and when we went hiking on the Magome - Tsumago trail, and took us to the festival in the town. If you are in for a real Japanese experience- we can’t recommend this place enough.
