Boasting open-air hot spring baths, a heated indoor pool and beautiful Japanese gardens, Senjukaku offers traditional Japanese-style accommodation that has a historic charm. It has both an indoor and outdoor bath as well as private baths available to rent. The food was amazing and they were easily able to accommodate my sisters dietary requirements. We went with the Japanese style beds with futons and they were very comfortable. It was a perfect stop on the way to Fuji after Hakuba and very close to the snow monkeys, you could easily walk from the hotel.

At Daymaruya Ryokan, guests can enjoy hot-spring baths and traditional Japanese-style accommodations with free wired internet access. Everything was perfect! The staff was incredibly kind, came to pick me up at the station and then offered to take me to the monkey park. The hotel was nice, clean and the indoors and outdoors baths were great. A very calm place. I totally would recommend!!

Offering a free-use reservable hot-spring bath, shared indoor and outdoor hot-spring baths, and traditional multi-course dinners with Shinshu beef, Shibu Hotel is 8 minutes from Yudanaka Train Station... Loved it, didn’t want to leave. The food was outstanding and the service was amazing. Huge comfortable rooms. They even cleaned our boots for us. The owners are just so lovely and really add to the character of the hotel. Sitting in the hotel outdoor bath while it snowed is hard to beat. My suggestion is stay at least 2 nights and on the final day, leave on the 10.50am train which will give you enough time for one final onsen after breakfast.

Located in the Shibu hot-spring district, guests can enjoy indoor and outdoor hot-spring baths at Suminoyu. Massages can be requested and a footbath is also available for extra relaxation. Incredible stay, the food was amazing and the staff so helpful. They have a shuttle to the monkey park and even brought out bags to the station for us. Cannot recommend this more for a fabulous Ryokan experience.

Located in the Shibu hot-spring area, Onyado Hishiya Torazo features Japanese-style accommodations. Cozy ryokan with a wonderful outdoor onsen and a friendly and helpful owner. Highly recommended!

A small 6-room inn with Ryokan meals and cosy interiors, Yasuragi is just a few minutes drive to Jigokudani Monkey Park and an 8-minute walk from Yudanaka Train Station. Hot-spring baths are featured.... Location, amazing owners, gorgeous onsen, spacious traditional rooms, spotless, dinner was absolutely delightful.
