This place is a real gem for relaxation. Our room had a great view to the Biwa lake, comfy beds, and an open air bath. Our first dinner was a 10+ plate Kaiseki menu, and as our second dinner we chose crab shabu shabu, which was excellent as well. Tried public onsens (indoor and outdoor pools), private onsen, and massage. Wore Yukatas the whole time :) All public and private areas were exceptionally spacious. The staff were very welcoming. There was a shuttle to/from the nearest train station.

Biwako Ryokusuitei offers Japanese-style/Western rooms with Lake Biwako views, a flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi. Wow! Such an amazing stay! Great experience with a private onsen in front of the lake. The room was very beautiful Japanese styled, and super clean. The breakfast was one of the best we had!

Yumotokan har en god beliggenhed i Ogoto Onsen-distriktet i Otsu. Det ligger 16 km fra Enryakuji-templet, 17 km fra Mount Hiei og 19 km fra Shoren-in-templet. The 11F Onsen is the best!! The view is extraordinary, also the water's heat is very fine. The full set dinner also gives lots of Japanese taste I was looking for. There's also transportation provided by Yumotokan for arriving and departing customers to the nearest station.

Villa Metasequoia 愛犬と泊まれる宿 ligger ca. 36 km fra Omimaiko Beach og har grillfaciliteter, balkon og bjergudsigt. very nice and cosy place to stay - very light and summer feeling for the days!

Dantokan Kikunoya ligger 5 minutters kørsel fra JR Ogoto Onsen Station og har varme kilder. Der tilbydes gratis afhentning fra stationen efter forudgående anmodning. The staff here are incredible. They went above and beyond to help us celebrate our honeymoon. I was so grateful for how hard they all worked and how kind they all were. We also got the breakfast service in our room, which was excellent, and they provided several drinks in the fridge for us for free. They shuttled us from the station and back to it, and we were even sent off by the staff at the end of our stay. So friendly and welcoming. Also, our deluxe suite had the private open air bath, and I can't recommend that enough. It was so relaxing and incredible. Lastly, I personally loved the toiletries and additional things that came with the room (shampoo, straightener, beverages, yukata, pajamas, etc.)

Ryokan Beniayu ligger i Nagahama, 26 km fra Hikone Slot, og har gratis cykler, et fælles opholdsområde og en terrasse samt gratis privat parkering. Premium service. Even five stars hotels couldn’t provide this level of care and attention. 10/10

Kyukamura Ohmi-Hachiman ligger i Omihachiman, 41 km fra Sanzen-in-templet og 41 km fra Enryakuji-templet. Her er en restaurant og gratis privat parkering samt gratis wi-fi. The property is good for solo traveler, couple and family. Hot spring in East is clean and relax for body. You can choose to stay in the room for whole night with a pot of green tea, or enjoy good beef in dining area. The staffs are warm and good at dealing customers’ need.

KAMENOI HOTEL Hikone ligger i Hikone, 2,7 km fra Hikone Slot og 6 km fra Maibara Station. Her er en restaurant og gratis privat parkering samt gratis wi-fi overalt. Amazing food, pleasant staff and great onsen. Frequent shuttles to and from train station was a plus.

Offering an outdoor pool, indoor/outdoor hot spring baths and 6 restaurants and bars, Biwako Hotel is located a 5-minute walk from Keihan Hamaotsu Train Station. Big room with a great view of the lake. The in suite balcony was a big plus. Friendly staff that is always eager to assist us.
