The hotel is just amazing. Very traditional, very friendly staff, professional and welcoming. The onsen is really unique. The dinner and breakfast options were a different experience - though if you are not a fan of oriental food, there is not much to eat. But the process was really great. The hotel rooms are big sizes with great facilities and amenities are in general excellent.

Private hot springs available but need-not-necessary The hotel is a very far walk from Tobu-Nikko, please utilize the shuttle bus service, especially if you have luggage. On the contrary, the hotel is near-next door to the Shrines and Temples of Nikko World Heritage Site, perfect location alongside the Tobu Bus - Shinkyo bus stop which enables you to head into Lake Chuzenji, Kegon Falls and Mt Nantai.
