I came to Tohoku for a tour of the ski resorts with my brother. We met up in Aomori and stayed at the ReLabo before heading off to Aomori Spring. We were made very welcome. The hotel is remarkably convenient and clean. The staff are super friendly. Special thanks to our concierge Alicia, who found a solution to all our problems, even those we had created (for example, warning us that we had forgotten a telephone in a restaurant in town).

Dormy Inn Aomori Natural Hot Spring is set in Aomori, 6 km from Sannai-Maruyama site and 43 km from Tsuta Hot Spring. With a restaurant, the 3-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi. Private parking is available on site. Absolutely loved the public bath on the rooftop. It was so refreshing to have part of it outside and an actual ice cold bath. Cute to have the peepholes with shutters so you could look outside while no one could look inside. The inside bath made my skin supersmooth. Nice dry sauna. Cool idea to have shower baskets with shampoo and conditioner for specific hairtypes to choose from. There was also a magnificent massage chair 👌 the extras like ice cream and free ramen were also appreciated. Loved how they decorated it with traditional Aomori Nebuta made by a local famous artist. They had tourist information on their tv which was really helpful. Room was small but everything was there, even space to hang your clothes to dry after washing them for free. Breakfast was abundant and well taken care of with a lot of diversity. Staff were all very helpful and kind. The apple juice was delicious ❤️ This hotel is worth going to Aomori for!

It’s a beautiful hotel nestled into the hillside by the river. The reception area is amazing, especially with the Shamisen lady is playing. The traditional rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable.

Tokinenoyado Yunushi Ichijoh is situated in the Kamasaki Onsen district in Shiroishi, a 15-minute drive from Shiroishi Station and Shiroishi-Zao Station. Guests can enjoy the on-site private dining room. Free private parking is available on site. Where to begin? The room was excellent in size and had a nice feeling to it. The onsen was close by. The staff was so kind and service minded. The whole experience with dinner and breakfast was exceptional, especially the staff member whom served us with excellent English. Just the whole experience was quite wonderful.

7.6 km from Nyuto Hot Spring in Senboku, Aoni Sanso features accommodation with access to a hot spring bath, public bath and open-air bath. The ryokan offers soothing natural hot spring bath in natural stone tubs and an open-air hot springs bath. A shared lounge features a tatami (woven-straw) floor and view of a Japanese garden. The ryokan also offers free use of bicycles. Highly recommended. The staff are standout super efficient, always available and friendly. The hotel is spotlessly clean and newly refurbished (especially the rooms). The Japanese breakfast was an amazing experience. If we had to do this northwest region again we'd definitely repeat this as our base.

For us, it was the most authentic Japan experience that we have had. Very nice and helpful staff. The location in the mountains was also very. Dinner was special and the breakfast buffet expansive & varied.
