Kameya Hotel localiza-se em Tsuruoka, a 3,5 km de Aquário Kamo, e fornece acomodações com um jardim e estacionamento privado gratuito. The rooms were spacious and clean. Very comfortable! The bathtub is what sold me on the room! Nice big tub with views over the ocean and hot spring water pumped directly into your bathtub! The included breakfasts were also very good, very large servings, I didn't need lunch the days I had the breakfasts. The on-site onsens were heavenly, the "help yourself" coffee station was great, and the shop had all the things I like from the hotel available to buy ( got caramel apple tea and the lovely skin sets to take home). Highly reccommend this hotel!

The tatami room was lovely and the bed very comfortable for a futon type. There are a number of different style rooms. We especially booked a room with a private outdoor shower and bath. The food was superb in every respect. There were a number of beers available and, surely, there is a taste to appeal to everyone. The staff were caring and took time to understand the hotel guests. The communal bath was nice and the outdoor areas in general were pleasant. The test of a hotel is to positively answer the question, 'would you stay here again?' Our answer is that we returned after visiting here a year ago, except this time we doubled the length of our stay.

The dinner was amazing - there was a station where the staff prepares a small dish on the spot for you. The onsen was eye-opening to say the least. It is located beside a stream / forest, and it was refreshing to soak in the onsen while listening to the stream flow by.

Tokinenoyado Yunushi Ichijoh is situated in the Kamasaki Onsen district in Shiroishi, a 15-minute drive from Shiroishi Station and Shiroishi-Zao Station. The entire experience was extraordinary. We were greeted with welcome drinks in front of a fire, and led to our room by courteous but hospitable staff. Our 3-person room faced a quiet garden, and we enjoyed delicious cake and tea before being led to the dinner. There was a pair of yukata and a pair of more modern pajamas in the room, along with a warm jacket and a pair of socks for each person. There was a toilet in our entrance hall, and a sink and mirror in the room. Dinner and breakfast were both served in an independent Japanese room located in the older building, and our server conversed with us in fluent Mandarin and English. We loved the exquisitely made Japanese dinner and breakfast, every single small dish and platter of it! The two hotsprings were also delightfully pleasant. The indoors medicinal bath was small but very clean, while the outdoor bath was much more spacious. For some reason, we did not meet many people using the bath either in the evening or the morning. We opted for a shuttle bus to leave the hotel in the morning. The hotel was very helpful with answering questions and reserving shuttle service through the booking.com chat room in English. We were extremely happy with our stay, and hope to stay longer next time.

If you're looking for a place away from the city that's nice and peaceful, this is where you should go. Comfortable rooms, a nice mountain view, plenty of bath options, and incredible food. Every included meal was well worth it. We had to skip lunch, the dinners were so filling! Staff were very helpful.
