It is very peaceful and a nice 15 minute walk to many restaurants and beach. The staff made us feel so welcome. The bakery is top notch. I have had very delicious baked goods in multiple European countries, and this is right up there. We thought at first the mattress was a little firm(this seems standard in Japan), but ended up sleeping well.

The location is right at the center of Takahara and looking out the window, we can appreciate the whole Mountain View. I also love the foods. The host is very kind and accommodating that they agree to help us ship a package which is outside the service they listed to provide.

The guest house is located in a geothermal area, with a number of hot springs nearby for guests to relax in. Wonderful "old world charm" hotel with private onsen indoors & a hot springs river flowing outside! Much appreciated after a day of walking the Kodo trail. Dinner & breakfast very good. Bus stop outside the door. Staff extremely helpful & friendly. A delightful origami gift from the owners beautiful little daughter ❤️

Great ryukan , Best feeling to take a full rest here after days on a trail, Onsen water in this area is one of the best I have experienced in japan. Full course Dinner and Breakfast is just wonderful , Staff and service is amazing !!!
