Fujikawaguchiko
Luxurious ryokan Fuji Onsenji Yumedono is located just 500 metres from Lake Kawaguchiko. It features traditional Japanese cuisine served in the dining area, suites with in-room hot springs and a garden. I visited Japan in May to enjoy the wisteria in full bloom thinking it will be the highlight of my trip, my stay in this charming onsenji ended up climbing the charts instead. The staff were very attentive to details even before my arrival, checking on meal preferences and customizing a vegetarian alternative for me and my mom. There were countless things to appreciate and admire, the garden, the koi pond, the exquisite food, the yukata and pijamas to chose from, the heated bathroom tiles and your own private onsen. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay despite the room being slightly different to what I have booked due to recent remodeling. We were welcomed by super friendly Demant who walked us through the facilities and kept checking on us to make sure we have everything we needed. Thank you for a truly unforgettable experience.
Oshino
八海 木花館 features mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Oshino, 10 km from Fuji-Q Highland. There is a private entrance at the ryokan for the convenience of those who stay. Every room comes with a balcony with garden views. I can’t even believe this place. Room is good for 4 people. You basically have a house to yourself. There is a private onsen with Fuji views. The views of Fuji in my living room and dining room are crazy too — amazing!! Also, everything is very well thought-out!! Omakase dinner and breakfast are chef’s kiss ✨ Staff is super helpful — they even helped map out my route from the ryokan to Osaka. The floors are heated — the water is never cold (I went in winter). You even have a little garden to yourself with a table and chairs outside so you can look at Fuji while drinking tea. But I would recommend that in Spring lol as it’s super cold in winter outside.

Among the facilities of this property are a restaurant, room service and a 24-hour front desk, along with free WiFi throughout the property. Guests can use the sauna and the hot spring bath, or enjoy mountain views. Service was extremely thoughtful! The server who checked us in escorted us to our room, and even tidied our shoes! At keiseki dinner and breakfast, as a family with kids, the service was very polished, and the server really could anticipate our needs and acted proactively, to the point of surprising us! The meals were elaborate and of extremely high quality. Both the public onsen and the private in-room onsen were excellent. And of course, the view of Mount Fuji was super impressive! All Fufu hotels are designed with maximum customer privacy in mind. While the hotel is not right next to the coast of Lake Kawaguchiko but is instead "hidden" in a valley, the feeling of being inside a forest yet with Mount Fuji still highly visible, the picture is really surprisingly next level! A perfect, perfect stay overall!

The hotel provides full Japanese ryokan experience! The view on both sides (lake or Mt. Fuji) is breathtaking. It is a good getaway place from Tokyo for 1-2 nights. The hotel provides the option to book for 1 hour a family/private onsen room with views on Mt. Fuji, this is an experience I will not forget.
This luxurious Ryokan was the perfect getaway from busy Tokyo and an excellent spa-retreat after a long hike in one. The staff spoke good English and was very helpful. We would highly recommend booking a private dinner in your room for at least one night where you'll get overwhelmed by the enormous diversity of the Japanese cuisine. We booked a private Onsen for 1 hour where we could catch a glimpse of Mount Fuji, but the public Onsen and rooftop footbath are already well worth this Ryokan experience.
Very good location. Extremely welcoming staff. Good room size. Nice hot spring Onsen.
In hotel hot springs(Onsen) with Mt Fiji view, electric bikes, pretty common areas. Very friendly and pleasant staff.
Reasonable prices, pleasant scenery, delicious breakfast, relaxing authentic Japanese hot springs, and friendly service.
We showed up a bit early and the staff still accommodated us. Thank you so much for that! The ryokan must have been recently renovated as it is very modern yet still keeps the traditional feel. I felt like I was in a luxury spa. Exceptionally clean as well. The private onsen was our favourite part and was 1000% worth the extra price.
Excellent breakfast with a view to Mt. Fuji 🤗 Excellent kaiseki dinner impressed so much! Onsen hot spring bathing facilities very good! Room size is excellent with a resting corner and with a view to Mt. Fuji. Yukata was so nice to wear.
-Located next to Lake Kawaguchiko, if the sky is clear, you can see Mount Fuji from your room or in front of the Ryokan -Staffs are very very friendly, attentive and speaks fluent English -Room size is great and Futon is very comfortable -Free Parking lot -There are onsen (hot spring) provided in the ryokan (Gender separated) -Breakfast comes with a Japanese set, very delicious and beautiful presentation
An incredible ryokan experience, highly recommend. Great location next to Fuji scenic ropeway and on the lakeshore. Our room had a beatiful view of mt fuji too. Staff were excellent, parking easy, entire property very clean and well kept. Dinner served in your room is an experience in itself, and of the ryokans we visited it was easily the tastiest one. There is a private onsen o wth a very nice view over the lake.
Being that this is my first time staying at a ryokan, this one exceeded my expectations. The rooms were very clean and cozy, having a private onsen just outside of the room is the main highlight of the stay. The onsen is right outside on the deck with trees surrounding it, it creates a soothing and tranquil experience. We arranged a pick-up from Kawaguchiko station, the staff are amazing and friendly, communication wasn't a problem as some of them are fluent in English.
