Hotels with Parking in Gnishik

Gnishik is literally right at the end of the road, you can go no further, but the Eco Lodge certainly makes the journey worthwhile. The gent who let us in and gave us the keys was very pleasant and helpful and communication before arrival was excellent. It was made clear that the location was remote and that we would have to bring our food and drink with us. This was fine and the shared kitchen was very well equipped. We had a lovely en suite room upstairs with wonderful views from our balcony, especially of the beautiful rose garden in the back garden. We were also lucky enough to have the whole place to ourselves. The bed was comfortable and the shower was hot. There was a problem with the WiFi in the early evening, but it was quickly resolved and worked very well for us after that; not good enough to stream, but perfectly well for browsing, emails, etc. We parked in the drive in front of the Lodge, but there are zero security concerns. If you get the chance to visit, then we strongly suggest that you do. The drive south from Lake Sevan is truly spectacular. The last few kilometres of road were pot holed and slow going, but perfectly accessible if you drive slowly. Overall, this is a wonderful place to enjoy nature and relax and we loved our visit. Very highly recommended.

This place is a paradise that you don't hope to find in Armenia! The location is stunning - it is quiet, you are surrounded by nature, and it is beautiful scenery throughout the day. The facilities are spotless clean and everything is taken care with love, every small detail, everywhere you look. Every decoration is interesting, and the interior is very unique. We didn't expect it to be this great, but hands down, this is the most beautiful place we have ever stayed anywhere on our travels. The kitchen has everything you need. The bathrooms are very clean and new. Towels and sheets smell amazing. There are plenty of areas where to hang around inside, and they are all beautiful. We especially loved the swing above the place - what a perfect spot. The owner - another level of hospitality. He was always very attentive and making sure you were fine. We were gifted by the most delicious strawberries and pastries from his wife, and we were allowed to eat the berries that grew there. Not to mention, we shared coffee and nuts together and watched the most beautiful thunderstorm we have ever seen. We decided to stay extra (3rd) night, and needed to load our groceries, so he took us to the shop and back in the cleanest car we have ever seen 😍 The kittens in the yard are so lovely, and the husky dog Taiga is very sweet also. For the third night, we moved to the smaller house that is designed by the owner, and it is so authentic and cosy, you feel like you are staying in the countryside with 5 star hotel facilities. I could go on and on about this place, you have to come and experience it by yourself. This is not to be missed if you are in the area. Amaaaaaaazing views and a very homey place. It's totally worth staying here a little longer and exploring the surroundings.

The family is so nice and welcoming, you feel at home from the moment you arrive. Everything is made with love and great hospitality. They've cooked me a really nice armenian dinner with a wine sampling of their homemade wines. Value for money is amazing. The location is right in the center of Areni next to the local shops. Walking to the Church is only 15min.

Quiet house in the countryside. 5-10 min ride to the cave and the monastery in Areni. Wineries are close by as well. The room was clean, spacious bathroom ( we got the bigger room that actually fits 3 ppl even though it was 2 of us). The breakfast was great. The family serves you in the dining room. Food is good and the view is awesome. We were the first ones down for breakfast so we enjoyed the meal in peace, but even when the rest of the guests joined everyone was quiet and respectful, enjoying the food and the view. The hosts are great people. Great place for overnight when exploring that part of Armenia on the way there or back from Tatev.

Very nice host, who can speak English. The room was very clean and we really liked the breakfast. There was a playground around the corner, which our daughter really liked. Nice beds and airconditioning

One of the highlights of my trip to Armenia! The hosts are the nicest couple imaginable, so fun and friendly, I had a wonderful stay here. I was even invited on a foraging trip in the mountains, and was served the delicious foraged greens for breakfast the next day. Not to mention the incredible home made cognac! A wonderful experience. The place itself is in a very quiet location with wonderful views of the mountains, and wonderfully kept clean rooms and facilities.
