Upon arriving at this well kept property, we were immediately drawn to the outside deck and seating that allowed amazing views across the water. Our hosts provided a thorough explanation of the property and how and where the facility works. Our ground floor room was spacious, with a comfortable bed and a well stocked ensuite bathroom. We stayed for 2 nights and both breakfasts were excellent. The property is about 5 minutes drive from the township centre, which means it is very quiet. We would highly recommend this property to anyone wishing to stay in Baie St Paul.

The Refuge is in a lovely peaceful location with beautiful views across the St Lawrence. There’s a deck out front to relax and enjoy the views and listen to the rushing stream nearby. There’s also a fully enclosed BBQ area which is great in the evenings to avoid insect attacks. The kitchen is well stocked with crockery and cutlery plus a decent range of cooking appliances. Jacques was lovely and gave us a very warm welcome and a very thorough run through of all the property’s features.

Very friendly staff, lovely breakfast plate, Nice terrace for drinks. Walkable to the main restaurants/gallaries/boutiques but far enough away to avoid the crowds. Nice indoor spa. Free parking.

Great location near the shops and restaurants, enjoyed the spa including snacks and a drink afterward. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Easy parking. I had heard it could be noisy, but even though I was there on the weekend during a weekend of superb weather, didn't hear any noise.
