The Staff are exceptional. Marcel and Kennia were absolutely outstanding. The slogan "where luxury rums wild" hits the nail on the head. Such a fantastic resort. Many animals to see. The resort is placed im the middle of creeks, nature. The gym has everything you can wish for. The food is divine. The beach is nice, we took long walks there. The boat transfers is about a 5 minute ride

I was lucky enough to be one of the first guests at El Cerrito and I had the most amazing time there. Lis and Dan were so welcoming and the cabin was really comfortable and peaceful, exactly what I was looking for. I saw all kinds of wildlife there - monkeys, tucans, macaws, iguanas, frogs, humming birds, butterflies and sloths. It really felt like being in the jungle but with all the comforts of home. I was originally planning on doing a tour in Corcovado but I ended up doing a tour here with local guides instead and I'm so happy that I did. I got to see so many animals at a fraction of the price of what I would have paid at Corcovado. I will definitely be coming back here again in the future!

It is a wonderful place. Macaws in the almond tree, parrots arriving and departing (always with a great party :)), a wonderful garden, 2 really cute cats. We really loved it there. Beach, Supermarket and restaurant are walking distance. A perfect place to start a Corcovado tour as well. Lubna was on holiday when we arrived, but she managed everything from the distance. We had the place for us own, its a shared kitchen and bathroom. Be sure you have money with you, it was not possible to pay the room with credit card.

Everything. Jen and Stuart are superb hosts and have a wonderful property equally suitable if looking for a yoga/retreat type break or a relaxing trip surrounded by nature/wildlife and the beach. We had a wonderful time at Maze Lodge in the middle of the jungle! Sure the road is a little bumpy but nothing a 4x4 car (we had a Suzuki Jimny) can't handle...a little adventure ride for free :) We want to thank our hosts Frida and Alexander so much for hospitality and their support! Second time staying here. Hotel is easy to find, right on the water, easy walking access to stores and restaurants, room comfortable, only hotel in Puerto Jimenez that I found that gives free access to bikes and kayaks. Beds comfortable, fridge, and AC. Small clean pool. Outdoor kitchen area for cooking. Friendly staff and parking on sight with wifi.
