The location was magnificent. John and Jacky were best of hosts. Kind hardworking scottish farmers. Jacky an amazing cottage weaver.The bothy was A great place to get away from worldly materialism... they supplied all basics of camp stove cooking . Composting toilet and a lovely pete fire. Very cosy with a nice comfortble bed. I felt warm and safe and remote. Away from mainstream society. Tricia and her husband greeted us when we arrived and gave us some tips on places to visit on Lewis. They were exceptionally friendly and the room very clean. Breakfast was provided in a little fridge which was very convenient.

Christina came to meet us at the door and was so gracious and welcoming. The whole team there took such good care of us and made a difficult trip (bereavement) much more bareable. The room was so comfortable and decorated beautifully. There's a fully accessible bathroom and lift too which is great and the bed is perfect. The castle has been restored so well and looks gorgeous inside and out. Really recommend having a walk around the castle grounds while you're staying too. The café staff were super friendly and took our drinks to the guest lounge for us when we had family visiting. The food is really nice and they make good hot drinks and the tablet they sell is delicious. They will try their best to help you. We even got invited to watch a fashion show which was cool. Really can't recommend this place enough and we'll definitely stay again next time we're on the island. Everyone clearly loves what they're doing and it really shows. Plus, it's a castle! What's not to like?

Great stay at Marina's. The room was incredibly comfortable. She prepared a breakfast to dream for! We could not finish it and took it with us for later, as it was amazing.
