Breakfast is exceptionally good, you have to try their bacon sarnie! Location is right in the heart of the beautiful town of Devizes. All the staff are wonderful without exception. Free parking in their car park at back, plenty of spaces. Cost of stay is superb, I've stayed at many hotels in the UK over the years and the ones that have come anywhere close to the Bear Hotel's standard cost at least double the Bear's rate. It’s got that cosy old feel about it with slightly wonky rooms (due to the age of the building) but the bedroom (Room 30) was clean and had everything you could want. Free parking an added benefit and I was able to park my m/bike under cover in the huge garage. The staff were friendly and attentive. The room we had was a twin. There was a decent amount of storage and a clean bathroom with bath and shower (over bath) It overlooked the town square.
