Szem's Guesthouse quickly became one of our favorite places to stay. It’s genuinely one of the most comfortable accommodations we’ve ever experienced, and the sense of relaxation we felt there is something we can’t emphasize enough. What We Loved: - The house is located on a quiet street shaded by towering chestnut and pine trees, providing a peaceful and serene environment. - Parking is free and conveniently located on the street under the trees. - The house’s courtyard features stunning pathways lined with flowers, also shaded by the majestic chestnuts and pines, creating a tranquil outdoor space. - Each room opens up to large terraces furnished with tables, plants, and flowers — perfect for evening conversations with friends over a glass of wine. - This place is ideal for groups of families, with or without children; we can’t imagine a more relaxing spot. - For those who enjoy grilling, there’s a designated barbecue area that adds to the charm of this guesthouse. - The hosts were incredibly accommodating, allowing us to check in late due to traffic and providing an early check-out as well. - The house is just 300 meters from the lake and 200 meters from the town center, which is bustling with terraces offering delicious meals for all tastes and budgets (including the largest wienerschnitzel on the planet 🙂). Szem's Guesthouse offers a unique blend of comfort, hospitality, and natural beauty, making it a perfect retreat in Balatonszemes. The hosts met us, showed us all the details of the accommodation in detail. I want to note the cleanliness and readiness of the accommodation. We liked the wonderful and cozy yard. There was a place to leave the car and spend time in nature by the fire, and a picnic in the fresh air. It was warm, clean, good internet, and a lot of pleasant things in the accommodation. I want to recommend this place for families with children and others who are interested in home comfort

Apartman was very well equiped. Owner was thinking about every detail. Very nice bathroom which was well equiped. No hangers missing for towels in bathroom so They could dry properly. Kitchen was very nice, very well equiped, there was coffee machine with very good coffee. Ice in the freezer prepared. We could find spices there, proper and enough untensils. Well working AC, there was floor heating, big TV with Netflix. Nice comfortable sofa which looked like new. Good internet. Place for shoes, shoes shelf as well. Bedrooms- very comfortable mats and the best pillows we ever experienced in any rented apartment in our life! 😊 On every window in this apartment were mosquito nets. On terrace was nice seating for chillig with sunshade and sunbeds too. There was even grill with all necessary equipment, e.g. grill coal and grill alcohol/oil to set fire, aluminium plates. Last but not least, apartment was nicely cleaned what we really appreciated too. 😊 Lady who welcomed us was very very nice and the communication before our arrival as well as during our staying was amazing.

Marina apartman hotel is located at the very heart of Balatonszemes, both Marina and beach are only 1-2 minutes of walking distance, as well as some really nice places for Pizza (Kisnápoly), Café (Marina) or Restaurant (Pékbisztró). Apartman offers comfortable and safe parking, really nice swimming pool, besides the apartman itself. Apartman had been beautiful, clean and well equipped, with AC in each room, lake-view terrace. Washing machine had been a nice surprise given my passion for running.

Pretty and modern hotel, rooms are clean and looks great. Breakfast was nice, there were a lot of different meats and cheese to try. WIFI and TV works great. Free parking for the guests.

I have travel the world and I have stayed in Balaton several times. I have to congratulate you for the concept, the room is soundproof, the breakfast was great, the fact that we were able to check-in late, the room and the hotel is spotlessly clean, the parking has cameras and we were able to park our motorcycle in safe place. Thumbs up! We will only stay here when in Balaton! Thank you!

Quiet place, comfortable parking. Very beautiful and modern equipment, minimalist design, great attention to details both in the room and in the restaurant. Wonderful staff who were very attentive and friendly. Breakfast was amazing, a very pleasant surprise: lots of variety, well presented, very tasty, special thanks to the girl working there, she prepared wonderful scrambled eggs and oat porridge for us. The waiter was also very attentive and offered a high quality service. We'll definitely return!
