One of the best places I've ever stayed in! Fantastic location. Comfortable, nice rooms/houses. Owners/hosts extremely nice and hospitable. A very good breakfast - the homemade skyr was worth the whole trip to Iceland, unbelievably delicious!

We really enjoyed our stay in this apartment. It is very comfortable and has all the amenities even for a longer stay. The neighborhood is amazing, so quiet and peaceful and has a beautiful view. The host is very helpful and responsive. We will definitely come back again!

We had a private bedroom with a shared bathroom. The room was small but well-equipped and clean. The bathroom was comfortable with all necessary facilities. Despite being initially concerned about bathroom wait times, we found there were plenty available, so it was never an issue. Additionally, the shared kitchen was spacious and had all the essential amenities, allowing multiple people to cook simultaneously.

Amazing house, very comfortable and spacious. Extremely well equipped kitchen, we found everything we needed. The owners left very clear instructions that helped a lot organizing our stay. The house is in the middle of the fields, so it;s extremely quiet, but it's 10 mins drive from Hofn, so very convenient.

We absolutely LOVED this cottage by the sea. I call it a "cottage" because (in my mind) instead of an "apartment" it seems to describe this freestanding lodging (with no other lodging nearby) better to me. This two bedroom, living room, dinning/kitchen, bath (with washing machine) was perfect for the 3 of us. There was plenty of room to relax without feeling cramped for space. As you approach the cottage, the area looks a bit industrial but don't let that put you off. Once you see the sign "Apartment by the Sea" you feel like you are in a time gone by. The cottage offers privacy, with an unbelievable view of the sea dotted with islands. On a calm morning it is the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee. We even spotted a seal taking a morning swim. There are several lovely restaurants within walking distance and the town has some shops and walking trails to enjoy. This town doesn't feel touristy but rather authentic Iceland. The owner met us at the apartment with the key and answered our questions.....as he was at the shop next door.....that was a surprise bonus.... the owners also own and operate a lovely boutique shop connected to the cottage giving 20% discount to renters. The building is a historic fishing processing site and built to withstand the strong winds common in this area. There are pictures inside of the original use of the building...oh, what would those fishermen think now. We loved this town and this lodging and highly recommend it.
